Ok if you couldn't tell by the title of this blog, I'M EXCITED!! 23 days left till I am on a plane to Kenya!! I am excited, nervous, humbled and just plain PUMPED!!
There are still a few things I need help with, and that's where YOU come in!! I am now preparing my ministry bag, so if you have donations from the list I have posted (and will post again here), please let me know so I can collect those from you. I also have a few personal requests.
First though before I move on to that, I want to ask that you all please continue to keep myself, my family, the team and the people of Kenya in your prayers. I am so nervous to leave my children and my husband for that long, but I know the Lord has AMAZING things in store for us all.
I have heard a verse several times the last two days and I wanted to share it with you:
2 Peter 1:4 And because of His Glory and Excellence, He has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share His Divine Nature and escape the world's corruption caused by human desires.
My pastor used this verse yesterday and then one of my very dear friends used it in an email this morning.
I think this verse is so good for us to hear, that The Lord has made us promises and we are enabled to share Him as an escape from the corruption of human desires!!! Our desires mean nothing, our Lord gives us the strength to move past those and fulfill His desires for our life!!
